Seafrozen Giant Squid Tentacle

Our seafrozen giant squid tentacle is sourced from wild-caught Dosidicus gigas, commonly known as the Humboldt squid or jumbo flying squid, harvested from the clean, cold, and biologically rich waters of the Southeast Pacific (FAO 87), primarily off the coasts of Peru and Chile. This region is known for its strong currents and abundant marine nutrients, producing squid with exceptionally large, firm, and meaty tentacles. Each tentacle is individually processed and weighs between 300g and over 1kg, offering substantial portion sizes ideal for commercial and foodservice applications. The tentacles undergo thorough cleaning onboard the vessel immediately after capture: the beak, eyes, and suckers are completely removed, leaving only the clean, tender-yet-firm muscular tubes. No residual cartilage or hard parts remain, ensuring a ready-to-cook product with high meat yield and minimal waste. After cleaning, the tentacles are sea-frozen or blast frozen at low temperatures within hours of harvest, a process that locks in natural freshness, ocean flavor, and the signature firm, chewy texture that squid tentacles are prized for. Unlike many competing products, our tentacles maintain their structural integrity after thawing, without becoming mushy or losing moisture. The flavor is clean, mild, and slightly sweet, with no fishy or ammonia-like off-notes. These tentacles are incredibly versatile in the kitchen: they are ideal for slow braising in rich sauces, grilling over high heat for a smoky char, stewing in tomato or coconut-based broths, and especially popular in hot pot (shabu-shabu) where their chewy bite and ability to absorb soup flavors shine. They also perform well in stir-fries, tempura, and seafood salads. The product is packed in 10 kg master cartons with inner poly bags, and we offer customizable grading by size/weight per tentacle to meet specific buyer requirements. Shelf life is 24 months when stored at -18°C. Our processing facilities comply with HACCP and international food safety standards, ensuring consistent quality and reliable year-round supply for wholesalers, seafood processors, and restaurant chains worldwide.
