FAQ

Some Q&A

01

Q: How do you handle shipment and logistics?

A: All our shipments are transported by sea freight. This is our primary and most trusted method for delivering frozen seafood to international customers. We use specialized refrigerated containers, commonly known as reefers, which are pre-cooled to your specified temperature, typically minus 18 degrees Celsius or lower, before loading begins. Our logistics process starts as soon as your order is confirmed, we coordinate with our long-term shipping partners to book vessel space and secure the most suitable sailing schedule for your destination. We handle every aspect of the logistics chain, including container booking, trucking from our factory to the port, export customs clearance, and preparation of all required shipping documents such as the bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing list, and certificates of origin or health. We track your shipment throughout the journey and provide you with regular updates on vessel position and estimated time of arrival. If you have a preferred shipping line or freight forwarder, we are happy to work with them as well. We understand that smooth logistics are just as important as product quality, so we pay close attention to every detail to ensure your cargo arrives on time and in perfect condition. We also offer advice on the best shipping routes and transit times for your specific market.

Q: What types of fish do you process?

A: We catch our own supply, including Pacific mackerel, round scad, Spanish mackerel, layang scad, and more. The fish are then processed and frozen in our own factory. Our fishing fleet operates in the rich waters off the coast of Fujian Province, where these species are abundant and sustainably harvested. Pacific mackerel is prized for its firm texture and high oil content, making it ideal for grilling, canning, and freezing. Round scad is a versatile, smaller fish that is widely used in Southeast Asian cuisines, often fried, dried, or made into fish balls. Spanish mackerel is a larger, premium species with delicate, flaky flesh that commands higher prices in retail markets. Layang scad, also known as yellowtail scad, is a smaller fish popular for its mild flavor and is often sold whole or gutted. In addition to these main species, we occasionally process by-catch such as tuna, bonito, and various reef fish, depending on seasonal availability and customer demand. Processing begins immediately after the catch is brought aboard, where the fish are sorted, cleaned, and packed in flake ice to preserve freshness. Once back at our factory, they undergo further processing, including grading, cutting, glazing, and freezing. By catching our own fish, we guarantee species authenticity and consistent quality.

Q: How soon before departure is the container loaded

A: Typically, once you've confirmed the shipping schedule, the container is loaded two days prior to the vessel's departure date. We deliberately set this two-day buffer to ensure a smooth, well-organized loading process without any last-minute rush. This timeframe allows us to complete several important steps. First, our QC team does a final inspection of the finished products from our cold storage, checking weights, packaging, and overall quality. Second, we position the refrigerated container at our loading dock and pre-cool it to your required temperature. Third, our loading team carefully stacks the cartons onto pallets and arranges them inside the container using optimal patterns to maximize space while ensuring proper cold air circulation. We also secure the load with strapping and stretch film to prevent shifting during transit. After loading is completed, we immediately seal the container with a high-security bolt seal and forward the shipping documents to our freight forwarder. This gives us enough time to truck the container to the port and complete customs clearance before the vessel's cut-off time. If you confirm your schedule at least one week in advance, we guarantee that your order will be loaded within that two-day window. We communicate with you at every step to ensure full transparency.
