For grilling or baking, we recommend a quick thaw in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours, then pat dry to achieve a nice sear. For chowders or stews, you can add them frozen-just extend cooking time by 1–2 minutes.
02.What is the best way to prevent overcooking and maintain the tender texture?
Oysters cook very quickly. For sautéing or frying, heat until the edges curl and the meat turns opaque (about 2–3 minutes). Overcooking causes shrinkage and toughness; remove from heat as soon as they are heated through.
03.How should I store the unused portion after opening the bag?
Keep the remaining IQF oysters tightly sealed in the original packaging or an airtight container, and return them to the freezer immediately. Do not refreeze once thawed-portion only what you need.
