Yangpu Port Cold-Chain Network Expands: Hainan Seafood Reaches Malaysia Via Direct Routes

    COSCO Shipping's Yangpu Port in Hainan is leveraging its position as a core hub of the Hainan Free Trade Port and a key node of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor to support the large-scale export of frozen aquatic products to ASEAN markets. During the South China Sea fishing season, batches of quick-frozen Hainan catch are loaded into intelligent refrigerated containers at Yangpu and shipped directly to Malaysia and other ASEAN countries.

    To match the "fast turnover, freshness preservation" needs of perishable goods, Yangpu Port has continuously optimized its cold-chain workflow, configuring dedicated cold-chain yards with refrigerated container power supply and temperature monitoring services. The port has also coordinated with shipping companies and customs authorities to achieve rapid cargo departure. Relying on weekly direct routes to Southeast Asia, goods can be loaded directly at Yangpu without transshipment, effectively avoiding port congestion and container rollover risks, shortening transit times, and reducing comprehensive logistics costs for enterprises.
